About MortgageCalcFast

Free mortgage tools in plain words, built to show what a loan really costs over the years.

Why this site exists

A mortgage quote throws several numbers at you at once, and they answer different questions. What the loan costs each month. What the house costs each month, once tax and insurance are in. What you need in cash on the day. What the whole thing costs over 30 years. This site puts those side by side, with no account and no sales call.

What we publish

Free calculators for the monthly payment, what you can afford, refinancing, and how the loan gets paid off. Each one comes with an explanation in ordinary words and a link to the body that sets the rule, so you can check us.

Independence and funding

We are not a lender, a broker, an insurer or an estate agent, and we do not point you at any particular one. There are no ads today. If we add them, they will be marked as ads, and nobody will be able to pay us to change a number or a conclusion.

Who runs this

My name is Marvin Smit, and I publish this site. It is a small independent site, not a newsroom with a team of reviewers, and I would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. If a number here is wrong, it is mine to fix.

How the content is checked

The sums are kept separate from the pages and are checked by automated tests. Rules come from the bodies that set them, and every assumption is written out on the methodology page, so you can check us instead of trusting us. The editorial policy has the rest. None of it replaces a licensed professional.

Privacy by design

The sums happen in your browser. You need no account, and we do not send your pay, your debts or your loan anywhere. The privacy notice has the detail.
