Actual costs can differ
Rates, tax, insurance, fees and the rules lenders apply all change from person to person, house to house, day to day. The numbers we start you with are guesses you can edit. They may not match your deal at all.

None of this is advice about your own money, your taxes or the law. A mortgage is a big, long decision. Read the real documents, and talk to someone qualified before you sign.
Authoritative documents
Trust the paperwork from your lender: the Loan Estimate, the Closing Disclosure and the loan documents you sign. If a number here disagrees with any of those, or with the law, they win and we are wrong.
